Thank you all for holding it down last week! Also thank you for the messages. I really appreciate it. Managing my little brother’s wedding while mourning my aunt has been such a strange rollercoaster, but I feel so thankful for being able to come together with my family. It was so healing. Below is upcoming info for y’all.
Payroll – If you filled in your bank info last week, your first direct deposit will run this Monday. I know it’s a little counter-intuitive, but payroll will always be about 2 weeks behind. So the payroll on the 25th will be for classes the week of the 11th. Let me know if you have any issues. We’re all human and this world is wild so if you ever wanna get cash in hand instead of direct deposit let me know. I run payroll every Tuesday morning.
Dec 7th Studio Show – Bringing back the micro-performance series at the studio. Got anything you wanna perform (3-10min) as part of this homegrown micro-performance series? The SRO (standing room only) series is all about creating more opportunities for performers and audiences to enjoy art. Low stakes, low key, high creativity. The theme this month is UNDONE. Print Bazaar – Coming up on Dec 7th! The studio is one of the hosts for the cherokee street print bazaar this year. We’re gonna have two artists ( Alain McAlister, Sophie Meadows Studio)I’m also gonna be selling some studio stickers and prints. If any of you wanna sell some art, let me know so we can give you space at a table. It’s a good chance to try your hand at something new, or have another artistic outlet.
New Contracts – I’m starting to prep Jan-April contracts and studio schedule. I’d love for you to think about what scheduling would work best for you, classes you wanna teach and anything that would make your teaching experience even better. I want to make this space as mutually beneficial as possible. Your well-being is the studio’s well-being. Starting after Thanksgiving, I’ll be talking to y’all about contract options. Also, if you know any modern ballet teachers (particularly with a grounded holistic approach to ballet) I’m on the lookout to add em to the crew.
